to change ordinary exterior rearview mirrors into safety features that command attention.. Every year there are over 300,000 lane-change and merging traffic accidents. Over 700 of these accidents result in fatalities. With the increased popularity of taller vehicles, i.e. SUV's, trucks and mini-vans, a turn signal from the tail lamp may be ''hidden'' by these larger vehicles. The signal from the side mirror may be the only visible indicator to drivers two or three cars back. Signal® Mirrors are positioned at the eye level of adjacent drivers making them more noticeable than conventional tail lights. When a turn signal is activated, a flashing chevron appears in the corresponding side mirror to alert drivers in the ''blind spots'' around and behind your vehicle.The mirrors operate as regular rearview mirrors whether the turn signals are activated or not.
